Disciples Anti-Racism/ Pro-Reconciling Justice Ministries

5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

One of the areas of emphasis in our Welcoming Process is race. As a congregation, along with our denomination, we strive to be an anti-racist, pro-reconciling church. To that end, our Region is offering the following training events, to be held here at South Street:
On Friday evening, January 25, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., there will be an introduction to Disciples Anti-Racism/
Pro-Reconciling Justice Ministries. The focus will be on relationship building, sharing stories, and laying a
foundation for the next day’s training.

On Saturday, January 26, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., there are two choices:
the entry level session for those who have not had training before, and the second level session which will focus on
community organizing towards racial justice (open only to those who have had the entry level session).

The cost for the entire event is $10 for laypersons and free for college students, and includes snacks, lunch and
all distributed materials. Registration forms are available in the church office, or online at https://
docgeneralassembly, (Please note: there is a typo in the url
for this event, but it will take you to the registration form.)
