CCCO
Center City Christian Outreach, Inc. is a collaboration of six downtown churches in an effort to meet the needs of the downtown area. Its focus is on those who live within the boundaries between Chestnut Expressway and Grand Street, and between Kansas Expressway and National Avenue, or who are members of the participating churches. In addition to South Street, those churches include Christ Episcopal Church, First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, Grace United Methodist Church, St. Agnes Cathedral, and St. Paul United Methodist Church.
The Well of Life Resource Center opened in April 2004, and provides food, nutritional information, and some limited assistance with rent and utilities. Located in the back parking lot of St. Agnes Cathedral, 533 S. Jefferson, it is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help in the center during operating hours, or for food purchasing and administrative help at other times.
